COUNTERBALANCE FORKLIFT TRUCK
The Counterbalance Forklift truck course is available for Novice, Semi-experienced or Refresher level operators. The course covers both theoretical and practical instruction at in operating a Lift Truck in an industrial or warehouse environment.
The number days training depends on the level required and type of accreditation requested. We currently offer LETS or NPORS certification.
COURSE CONTENT
• Understand the risks involved in operating a lift truck
• Understand the legal requirements involved in lift truck operations
• Identify the basic construction, purpose and function of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges.
• How to carry out all pre-use and running checks.
• Driving the truck with and without loads ensuring stability and control
• Set up and lift various loads within the full working range of the forklift.
• Place and retrieve loads accurately at various points including a vehicle bed or trailer.
• Place the forklift in an out of service condition.
Duration: The duration of the course is between 1 – 5 days dependent on experience with a maximum training ratio of 3 students to 1 instructor.
Venue: Can be carried out at our training school in Eastleigh or at a customer site if suitable.
Assessment: At the end of the course students will undergo a formal written test on all theoretical subjects covered and a practical assessment on their basic skills.
Accreditation: NPORS or LETS certificate
