WATER JETTING
The Water Jetting course is designed for the operator who requires theoretical and practical instruction at basic level, in operating water jetting equipment.
The course is suitable for personnel involved in:
Drain Cleaning Surface Preparation / Cleaning It is also applicable to those experienced operators who require refresher training.

COURSE CONTENT
Understand the hazards involved in operating water jetting equipment and controlling the risks.
• Understand the legal requirements involved in water jetting operations
• Identify the basic construction, purpose and function of water jetting equipment, its components and the purpose and use of all controls.
• Select appropriate PPE and wear correctly.
• How to carry out all pre-use and running checks.
• Prepare the water jetting equipment and work area for operations.
• Placing the water jetting equipment in a safe out of service condition.
Duration: The duration of the course is 2 days for the novice operator and 1 day for a refresher dependent on experience with a maximum training ratio of 4 students to 1 instructor. (See Training Info).
Venue: Carried out at an employer’s premises. (See training Info).
Assessment: At the end of the course students will undergo a formal written test on all theoretical subjects covered and a practical assessment on their basic skills.
Compatible QCF: Cskills Awards Level 2 Certificate in Associated Industrial Service Occupations (Construction) – Water Jetting (QCF)
Accreditation: NPORS or LETS certificate
