OVERVIEW
This course provides coverage of the full range of childcare areas. Subjects covered within this award include: supervising children, assisting in curriculum planning, liasing with parents, observing and assessing the development and behaviour of children, providing for children’s physical needs and promoting language or communication development.
ASSESSMENT
With no formal examinations, this award can be achieved through continuous assessment of skills and knowledge acquired in the workplace.
OUTCOMES
Successful completion of this course provides you with an excellent basis for a career in business although you may progress to a wide range of careers and/or courses in Higher Education.
KEY SKILLS
You will also be provided with the opportunity to gain Key Skills in Information Technology, Communication and Application of Number.
OTHER CERTIFICATES
You will also gain certificates such as Food Hygiene Certificate and a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Qualification.
