Subjects covered within this award include: maintaining attractive stimulation and a reassuring environment for children, maintaining safety and security of children, supporting children’s physical developmental needs, planning activities for sensory, intellectual, language and communication development, teamwork and supporting children’s social and emotional development.
ASSESSMENT
With no formal examinations, this award can be achieved through continuous assessment of skills and knowledge acquired in the workplace.
OUTCOMES
Successful completion of this course can lead to entry to Level 3 or provide opportunities for employment within this area.
KEY SKILLS
You will also be provided with the opportunity to gain Key Skills Communication and Application of Number.
TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE
You will also be expected to achieve a technical certificate.
OTHER CERTIFICATES
You will also gain certificates such as Food Hygiene Certificate and a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Qualification.
