OVERVIEW

This qualification is designed to equip you with the wide range of skills needed to work in the catering industry.  Opportunities exist in all sectors of the industry e hotels and restaurants, industrial and commercial establishments, leisure and health clubs. You will be trained to work under realistic conditions as a member of a food production/food service team both in the LETs and local industry.

 

ASSESSMENT

With no formal examinations, this award can be achieved through continuous assessment of skills and knowledge acquired in the workplace.

 

OUTCOMES

Successful completion of this course can lead to entry to Level 2 or provide opportunities for employment within this area.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

You will also be provided with the opportunity to gain Essential Skills such as numeracy and literacy.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

None
